At Sophia's Lavender & Herb Farm we will discover The Romance of Roses and Sacred Oil Distillation. A captivating exploration into rose distillation and the art of aromatherapy and perfumery. Immerse yourself in the world of scents and sacred oils.
Rose Distillation
We will be using roses from a nearby organic farm and our own lavender along with sacred resins like sandalwood, frankincense and myrrh. We will discuss and use hands on demonstration for the use of co-distillation to create oils and hydrosols as a base for aromatherapy and perfumery. This weekend will open new worlds of scents and sensation!
Our schedule of Possibilities
Arrive each day at 8 am to tea and scones to begin to explore the world of aromantic and sacred oils. Enjoy a morning of distillation and discovery.
Lunch will be served from a local farm to table catering service (Wise Owl Farms)
In the afternoon we will discover the world of scents and aromatherapy, blending and the benefits of using techniques developed to create beautiful and practical scents.
At the end of the workshop we will taste the unique flavor of rose hydrosol and other blends to create mocktails and syrups from our herbal dive into romance and healing.
